Winter Wonderland

You probably all heard about the crazy winter weather here in Alamogordo. It snowed for two days last week and if that wasn't awesome, it was even better becaseu Ryan wasn't able to go to work for THREE days! We had a lot of family time in the snow. Sure our water pipes froze in the kitchen which led to Ryan washing dishes in the bathtub and me doing out laundry in the jacuzzi tub with water boots on. We also lost heat for a day and a half and the temperature in the house dropped to 48 degrees. (Thank God we had a space heater for Brayden's room and one for ours too!) We were able to just hang out for three days and enjoy much needed family time. Brayden loved going for wagon and sled rides and actually fell asleep on the sled ride to the gravel pit. Ryan kept telling me to stop putting layers on him for he couldn't move anymore but I was nervous that he would be cold. Duke helped pull Brayden down the road in the sled... I think his inner Iditarod sled dog blood came out! They both had a blast and I ran behind the sled just in case Duke decided to make a sharp turn.

Overall, it was a great week with all the snow and we felt like we were back home in Alaska once again! Thank you God for the week on winter weather!
